Funding for new businesses establishing in B.C.

BC Hydro supports energy-intensive businesses in reducing climate pollution and building low-carbon operations. Through 2026, new clean-tech and high-tech businesses looking to establish operations in British Columbia (B.C.) may benefit from a dedicated fund of more than $50 million in incentives.

Eligibility for funding

This fund is available for eligible new transmission and major distribution customers, reducing connection costs to BC Hydro's integrated grid. Incentive amounts will be determined based on connection costs, the type of connection required by the project, and a demonstrated need for funding.

Other funding sources 

A range of electrification funding and incentive programs are available from other agencies including local, regional, and federal governments are available to help industry electrify in B.C.
