The former Kwoen Gas Plant substation is located 13.7 miles (22 kilometers) southwest of Chetwynd, in the central interior of British Columbia. Situated in the Peace River District, the privately-owned Kwoen Gas Plant is no longer operational and sits on a 0.29 acre (11.7 hectare) parcel, which includes 220 sqft2 (20.4 m2) building floorspace. The site is served by a 230 kV transmission line.
