BC Hydro can provide your business with support and incentives to transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy. Funding is available from our Energy Efficiency Plan, with a portion already committed to large commercial and industrial customer projects.
We offer a wide range of integrated energy efficiency solutions to help large commercial and industrial businesses optimize their energy usage. Funding varies based on project type. Our integrated solutions include:
- Energy Efficiency: Reduce and optimize energy usage across your business
- Demand Response: Gain incentives for shifting energy usage to off-peak periods of demand
- Low Carbon Electrification: Focus on efficiency in electrification efforts for your business

We offer a single, coordinated process to streamline applications to our integrated energy efficiency solutions. This process will consider whether your energy efficiency project is eligible for support, including incentives administered jointly by BC Hydro and CleanBC.
Funding may also be stackable with incentives from different agencies, including from the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada.

Available support and incentives
Large commercial and industrial businesses can access a variety of programs and resources to improve energy efficiency, lowering their carbon footprint.
Industrial operations can access support for the development, trial, and deployment of projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from large industrial operations in British Columbia.

Large commercial or industrial businesses can earn financial incentives for shifting electricity use out of periods of peak demand on our system with the demand response for business offer.
Large commercial or industrial businesses in B.C. may be eligible for funding to help with energy efficient electrification, including industrial facility retrofits and transport fleet electrification.
Large commercial or industrial businesses looking to establish new operations or expand existing operations for a new end-use may be eligible for support toward connection studies and energy efficiency projects.
Owners of existing industrial sites may be eligible for support to help assess and improve a property's electrical infrastructure to ready it for an identified new customer.
