Strategically located on Canada’s west coast, B.C. has a robust infrastructure featuring pipelines, deep sea ports, and expansive road and rail networks that provide fast and reliable access to Asian and North American markets. Rail connections and hubs provide critical links between inland hydrogen production sites such as Prince George, to ports on the coast.
The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest and most diversified port. Twenty-seven high-efficiency marine terminals are served by three Class I railways, reaching the Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf coasts. Located on the Asia-Canada great circle route, transit from the Port of Prince Rupert to final destinations is quick, benefitting the well-established hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol industries.
